A couple of days ago, I reviewed the Chase United Mileage Plus Explorer card offering up to 40k bonus miles for new card members. While that offer is still available, a newer and more profitable promotion is presented on the MileagePlus members homepage. This is the same card with the same benefits, but grants new card holders $50 and up to 65k bonus miles instead of 40k.
Read the earlier post for more specifics about the card and how to sign up, but here is the breakdown of how to receive the 65,000 bonus miles:
- 50,000 miles after first use of the card.
- 5,000 miles after adding authorized user within 2 months of account opening.
- 10,000 miles after spending $25,000 on the card in a calendar year.
Plus an additional $50 statement of credit after your first purchase!
Annual fee is $95, but under this promotion is still waived for the first year.
As mentioned in the previous post, some will not be able to spend $25,000 a year on the card for the extra 10k miles, but no problem as 50k (or 55 if you simply add an authorized user) miles is still enough for two round trip flights on United.
If you are in the market for a few complimentary round trip flights and $50 just for becoming a new MileagePlus Explorer card member, click here or the logo above for details and application. If the links above do not take you to the 65k offer, but the 40k offer instead, just log into your MileagePlus account and you will see the correct link there for the 65k offer. Important to read the terms and conditions in their entirety before signing up, and as usual, spend responsibly.
